Some pix from the Game Day

Football Game in Blacksburg

As a general thought, last nights game in VT was good. Very cold. We (the whole family, including the baby) made it till half. I would have liked to stay the whole game. But, the drama of the kids for another 1.5 hours of a sucky showing from the Hokies would not have been worth it.
We started at a tailgate thing from the College of Forestry and Wildlife. Food was decent and it made a starting point before the game. Way stayed at the Inn at Virginia Tech and I though the rooms were nice and bed comfortable. It was great that it was on campus and we could walk to the game. We hoped to take the Blacksburg Transit back to the hotel, but they weren't running when we left :( They say it was the second coldest game in 22 years at VT. I have to say that I remember more crappy weather games than good. Mental note: next time, don't purchase game tickets for late November games with the little kids.
It would have been more worth it if the game was exciting, but it was really ugly football. I'm glad that they gave Glennon the chance in the second half. Tyrod is good as a scrambler, but he is not as good of a thrower and his second read on the pass seems to just run for it. He may be fast, but no Mike Vick.

Quite possibly, the most disfunctional family ever

SCHERERVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Indiana state police said that after a mother was arrested for drunken driving, the three relatives who came to pick up her 1-year-old son also had all been drinking. A state trooper stopped a minivan for speeding early Saturday on U.S. 30 in Schererville in northwestern Indiana. He arrested the 24-year-old woman on a drunken driving charges.

The boy's father arrived later to pick him up, but officers determined he was intoxicated and also arrested him on a drunken driving charge.

Police said the boy's grandparents then arrived. Both of them also had been drinking, state police said, but the grandmother who was driving was not over the legal limit, so officers escorted them home with the child.

Bad decision

As I prepare to watch a Monday Night football game I actually am interested in, I learn a very disturbing thing. As the producers of MNF continue to make an effort to draw non-football people to their show, we are privileged with another Presidential candidate interview, by ESPN. WORS'T IDEA EVER. Really, isn't this like breaking the role of the separation of church and state or something? On the good side, what nickname will Chris Burmen give these guys?
